Date Blocker — Free Daily Calendar Puzzle Game

Date Blocker is a free, browser-based daily puzzle game that challenges you to cover a calendar grid using eight uniquely shaped pieces. Every day a new puzzle is generated based on the current date, and your goal is to place all the pieces so that only today's month and day remain visible on the board.

How It Works

The game board contains all twelve months and the numbers 1 through 31. Two cells on the board correspond to today's date — one for the month and one for the day. Your task is to place eight puzzle pieces on the board so that every cell is covered except the two cells representing today's date. Pieces come in a variety of polyomino shapes and are color-coded for easy identification.

Two Difficulty Modes

In Normal mode, pieces are locked in their correct orientation — you only need to figure out where each piece goes. In Hard mode, pieces can be rotated by tapping them before dragging, adding an extra layer of strategic thinking.

A New Puzzle Every Day

With 366 possible date combinations (including leap years), there is always a fresh challenge waiting. Each puzzle has been pre-computed and verified to have at least one valid solution.
